It is my personal belief that anything under lawful consideration should first be measured against the “essence” of the Declaration of Independence. The Declaration of Independence is one of the most truthful and enlightened documents of all time. We really don’t need laws when we understand the depth of its meaning – when we truly “get it.” In fact laws tend to water down its intent and many times detract from its truth. When something is truthful there really are no words to describe it and no further “definition” is needed. The best you can do is capture its’ essence knowing that those with the eyes to see or the ears to hear will do so. The Declaration of Independence is one of these “art forms.” Its' authors captured the essence of truth…. and each one of us not only has an innate ability to see and hear the essence of this truth but a responsibility to do so.

July 4, 1776
……When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.…..
Of course, this is only a portion of the Declaration of Independence and I can’t intuit everyone’s response but as for me I am brought to tears by the truth of this document. I am eternally inspired to truth by its enlightened, courageous and powerful essence. I sense that many of us upon hearing or reading these words may be overwhelmed by the depth of feeling that resonates in the core of our Beings. Those who signed this document on July 4, 1776 did so knowing they were committing treason – a crime punishable by death. Freedom and Equality meant more to them than their property or their lives.
But what do these words really mean? In reading the Declaration and allowing its essence to infiltrate my own Being, it becomes apparent in that moment that I am a visitor to a much higher plane of existence. My very soul knows the meaning of these words and principles. This is evident in my bodily response. And for those of us who dare to truly connect with this truth, the enormity and intensity of the light inherent in these words becomes clear. The Declaration of Independence isn’t just a document underlying the foundation of this great nation, it carries the vibration of a magnificent heavenly crystal holding the authentic vibration(s) of equality, life, liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. For those with eyes to see or ears to hear, it is a truthful measuring stick for all things “public” and private to be held accountable. It holds the intention of these unalienable truths allowing each of us the opportunity to awaken, remember and claim what has all along been ours.
